Unwind and Splash at my top 5 Waterpark Resorts recommendations in the Caribbean

When it comes to planning a vacation that combines relaxation and excitement, There are a wide variety resorts with waterparks are the perfect choice. Imagine lounging by the pool or on a pristine beach, while also having access to thrilling water slides and splash zones. Jen Travis with Marvelous Mouse Travels, your trusted travel agent, can help you find the best resorts in the Caribbean that feature waterparks.

First up and one of my favorites is the Hard Rock Riviera Maya! Guests truly love spending their days conquering the park’s many slides and water attractions including nine slides designed for children and teens, six high-speed slides for teens and adults and eight kid-friendly slides for the littlest of the bunch. And when they realize they’ve worked up an appetite from splishing and splashing, guests can chow down on poolside eats and refreshments.

Moon Palace the Grand located in Cancun Mexico is another one of my favorite resorts! There is no shortage of activities when you stay at this resort and the waterpark is no exception! You can race down elaborate waterslides for big-time thrills and spectacular splashes. Feel like you’re in the ocean in their luxe wave pool. And when you need a rest, the lazy river is perfect when all you want to do is relax and float. Plus they also feature a Triple ProFlow® Wave Simulator which provides plenty of opportunities to catch a wave or two (or three, or more!). No surfing experience? No problem! The simulator is perfect for beginners and pros alike.

Next up is the gorgeous Nickelodeon Riviera Maya. Aqua Nick transports visitors to an aquatic world unlike anything they’ve seen before. Featuring 21 waterslides, two lazy rivers and one activity pool, thrill seekers can expect the full Nickelodeon experience at this unique themed land — complete with character encounters and their chance to get “Slimed.” In addition to water-themed fun, guests will find one bar, one restaurant and four “Aqua Bites” stations to rest and refuel throughout the day.

If the Bahamas is on your list of destinations to visit then you will definitely want to consider Atlantis’ Aquaventure Water Park has been heavily featured on TV shows, travel blogs and YouTube videos for its unique Aztec-themed full-body waterslide. A thrilling glimpse of undersea life, the Leap of Faith delights with a near-vertical drop that plunges riders into an acrylic tunnel surrounded by sharks and other marine life. If they want the same incredible views without the drop, guests can take slides like The Abyss and Serpent Slide for a spin for an up-close-and-personal view of the resort’s underwater friends.
